What the site is
A reference to the vocabulary of consumer antivirus and device security software: what the terms mean, what they commit a vendor to, and what to check before subscribing to anything. The core is the glossary; the other pages follow particular terms into the situations where they matter.
It is not a news publication, a review site or a testing laboratory. There is no newsroom, no editorial board and no panel of experts. Where authorship is relevant, the author is the editorial team of MSMM-ZLK s.r.o., and no individual byline appears on any page because none would be truthful.
How coverage is decided
Editorial method
Product coverage is commercial. AgileBase covers one product, TotalAV, because its advertiser pays for this site through an affiliate arrangement. That relationship determines which product appears here. It is disclosed on the homepage, beside every paid link, and in full on the affiliate disclosure page.
Explanatory coverage is not. The glossary, the detection page and the consumer rights page carry no paid links and would read the same with a different advertiser or none. They are written to be useful to a reader who buys nothing.
No testing, no scores, no republished results. AgileBase runs no malware samples and measures no detection rates. It also does not reproduce other organisations' test results, because reproducing a figure without its methodology misrepresents it.
Product statements are limited to the vendor's own published material. Where a detail is not published, or changes often enough that a static page would go stale, this site says so and links to where it lives rather than guessing. No prices appear anywhere.
General claims are sourced or softened. A statistic or a legal position is either linked to the body that published it or written as general guidance. Nothing is presented as a finding of this site that is not one.
What the site will not do
Some of these are ordinary in this category, which is why they are listed rather than assumed.

Every page carries a review date in the footer. Pages are revised when the ordinary meaning of a term shifts, when a linked source moves, or when a reader points out an error. Corrections are made in place rather than annotated, and substantive changes move the review date.
